RV Super Centre has a range of water pumps including simple foot pumps that require no power, submersible pumps for use in portable tanks, and 12V water pumps with varying rates of flow and pressure.
We’ve also got all the parts and pieces you need to keep your water pump running smoothly. Choose from trusted brands including Shurflo, Jabsco, Flojet, Whale, and Dometic.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does an RV water pump work?
The 12V water pump in your RV uses power to move pressurised water from your freshwater tank, through the water lines in your RV, and out through your taps or showerhead. When you open your tap, your water pump detects the drop in pressure which triggers the motor to kick in and pump the water from the tank to your tap.
How do I prime a water pump?
If you’ve recently replaced your 12V water pump, you may need to prime it to get it pressurised again. To do this you will need to fill your freshwater tank, turn on a water tap (the kitchen tap, for example) with all other taps turned off, then turn on the water pump. Let the pump run for a few minutes until the water runs freely from your tap. Repeat this step with each tap.
How do water filters work?
Water filters work in various ways to remove contaminants from water. Some common methods include mechanical filtration which works by trapping unwanted particles in a physical barrier. This is often used in conjunction with a carbon absorption system to trap and absorb smaller particles.
