FAQ - What is the difference between the old and the new (2025) Carri Chef 50?
In 2025, the Carri Chef 50 received an upgrade. The new Carri Chef 50 no longer has a blue burner box, but a green one, giving the new version a more modern look.
The legs of the new Carri Chef 50 are now two-part, offering several advantages. For example, the barbecue can now also be used as a tabletop model. The two-part design also makes the legs easier and more compact to store; they fit together with the rest of the unit in a compact carry bag.
The burner has been improved for a more stable flame, and the piezo ignition is integrated into the burner. This provides better protection and easier ignition.
Additionally, one of the legs now features an adjustable foot, allowing you to level your barbecue on any surface.

BBQing has never been so convenient, thanks to the Dometic Cadac Carri Chef 50 Dome BBQ Green and its adjustable legs, which enables it to be easily set up on either the ground or on a tabletop.

It also has an integrated leg leveller, which keeps your BBQ stable and level on any surface. And for a more compact tabletop option, simply attach the lower part of the legs to the appliance base.

The Carri Chef 50 comes complete with a BBQ grid, pot stand and a domed lid with a built-in thermometer that ensures perfect temperature control, whether you’re grilling or roasting.

The stainless-steel burner with piezo ignition heats up quickly, delivering powerful performance for your outdoor cooking. An integrated heat deflector beneath the grill ensures even heat distribution, so your dishes cook to perfection every time. The grill features our innovative GreenGrill coating—a completely PFAS-free ceramic finish that promotes healthier cooking and makes cleanup a breeze.

By closing the lid, you can create an oven-like effect, perfect for baking or stewing. The built-in lid thermometer allows you to monitor cooking temperatures, and the lid itself doubles as a wind and splash guard for added convenience.
